KERRY BRODERICK

DESIGNER. MUSICIAN. ANIMAL LOVER.

I am a Senior Graphic Designer with 20+ years experience. Marketing materials, sales assets and brand identity have been my main focus, as well as executing on end-to-end campaigns. I love organizing data by making it fun and relatable, while turning it into a work of art. Infographics, collateral, online media and sales presentations are just a few of the materials in which I use this skill.

I had a wonderful opportunity to travel to other countries with Monster, like Mexico and Turkey. I learned how other cultures look for work and look for employees. I also gained experience in how other cultures interpret design and how to work remotely and remain collaborative.

I had the opportunity to be on a team tasked with redesigning the Monster Job alert and saved search emails. This redesign resulted in a 20% increase in seekers applying to the Monster jobs they received in their inbox. This proves that design and a great visual experience is very important in catching a user's attention and crucial on impacting behavior.

My experience at TraceLink has been quite interesting because we have many goals and objectives to reach during a pandemic. For example, this past year we had to switch gears and focus on virtual events and webinars instead of trade show booth designs and in-person activities.  It is very important to be able to adapt and use mediums that make sense in the current landscape. For example, who knew QR codes would make a come back?

Over the years I have enjoyed using my leadership skills by mentoring several interns. At Monster, I was responsible for setting goals, reviewing their work and coming up with short term and long term projects to help them grow. I worked with the HR team from the beginning of the internship (such as writing the job description) to the end of the program, by making sure final projects are completed and compiling feedback to improve the program in the future.

I make it a point to hold a position on "The Fun Committee" at companies I work for. I think it is important for a group of employees to get creative and think of ways to connect with other co-workers and boost morale. I have been involved in helping to organize events such as the company holiday parties, as well as the Walk/Run Club meetings. We also hold charity drives that support organizations like Rosie's Place, The Bristol Lodge Food Pantry and The Good Will.

Art, music and animals are my top 3 passions. I love it when these 3 worlds overlap. Therefore, creating posters for bands promoting live events or performing benefit shows to raise money for local animal shelters are both up my alley. In my spare time I play guitar, write songs, and pet as many furry creatures as possible.
